That sounds about right, kinda the way it's happened to me before. Thanks
-
How much time are you getting out of the 3 batteries using the cap to start...? I've been looking into those...
-
mine get replaced every 3 years. never had them go out sooner, but had them go out 3 years & 3 days. replace all 4 at once every time
3ARTransport Thanks this. -
The Ultra Capacitor was installed in Oct. 2014, the batteries are still in the truck. (when replacing a battery, i do not cherry pick, i will replace all batteries.)Mr_erv Thanks this.

Any update on how long batteries lasted?

Early in my career, when money was tight, I drove regional Midwest. Went by the house every day.
Back then I would only change the bad battery. Load testing all the batteries.
Now I run 7-10 days out, and money isn't an issue, when I have a battery go bad I replace all of them. -
Replace them all. And don't even bother with " refurbished " batteries.. I learned that lesson the hard way.
-
If it is a group of batteries I replace all of them. If it is the one showing signs of pending death, it's replaced. Batteries are cheap, stranding and tows etc are not.
Most people will not be bothered to spend money they have today for something that is not really dead yet tomorrow.
