While in my hunt for group 31's I found batteries plus. If you smack them around a bit you can get them for $97. Everywhere else was 25-75 more per battery.

Ever been to a dealership? The cheapest thing truck dealerships sell is batteries, and dang good ones. I've gotten both sets I've bought (4 31's at a time) from the local Volvo dealer for $79 each the first time and $89 each the second. I've heard the same about Freightliner dealers.

But, I do agree that Batteries Plus is good. I've bought lots from them for my other toys.

I prefer the Interstate Workaholic. Like the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. Always get 5 years minimum use out of them.

I'm curious. How many batteries does your truck use and do you run an inverter? I run a lot of AC appliances on a 2500 watt inverter. I never EVER run any of them without the truck idling but still I just get about 1.5 years out of batteries. My mechanic says it's pretty much the same for every OTR driver he works with. He also stands by the quality of the dealership batteries because he runs them in all his farm equipment and says they last about 10 years in everything but a truck.

If Interstates are that much better I'll try em.

I run 3 and I’m local. I’ve ran one other off brand and only got 2 years out of them. So I went back with Interstate.

FYI there are only 3 battery companies in America. Exide, east penn, and Johnson controls.

The 6 month old batteries I replaced were freightliner, not sure who makes them, but replaced them with Duracell (Penn). I have always had great luck with Penn

    Same here.
Cheap Volvo battery were working good exactly warranty period and start failing the very next day. Switched to Duracell AGM from Sam's club. 6th year running strong.
