I doubt they'll even check the speed limiters like ON and QC. Most of ours are set at 112-118 and we have never had a problem running Toronto to Montreal.

Probably doesn't need to be activated, how I read it anywayAnother Canadian driver and Magoo1968 Thank this.

They will need the same software as a engine shop uses . I’m sure they have been warned the EZ tap device Ontario and Quebec used will lose in court . Most likely it will be ticketed off radar like out east but they will need to give a little leeway for accuracy like with a speeding ticket .Another Canadian driver, Canadianhauler21 and Oxbow Thank this.

A lil common sense goes a long ways here. There's a really simple solution to all this. Wire in a hidden toggle switch to the power wire in your data plug and just leave it turned off until you need a shop to plug in. The DOT can plug in all they want but if it ain't got power how are they gonna read anything?? Can't ticket you for something they can't verify on site.

Alternative solution, and way more fun. Wire a switch to send 120 volt from the inverter to the plug. Solves the problem for you and everyone after, at least for a while.Lockport, Onemanshow, Another Canadian driver and 6 others Thank this.

Scales are posting signs about speed limiter date April 5 th but when you try to see how they will enforce it all you see is rubbish . RCMP can enforce it but it doesn’t state at what speed cvse can download ecm info but doesn’t state what device they will use.. most trucks have various ways around it that need software like a engine shop or manufacturer uses to detect it .. many are predicting North America will be governed at 65 mph in less than 2 years.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
