I've been getting PMs done at T/A or Petro for years but here lately they have really went down hill. The last one was Glendale, KY. So many lights were burnt out that I had to hold a flashlight so the guy could see what he was doing, there was so much oil on the floor you had to hold on to something to walk in it. Then he put 12 gallons of oil in... before he put the drain plug back in and said oh well you got your motor flushed out.
They used to charge me $35 to change the oil in my Tripac when I have the filters. Now it's $110. Holds almost a gallon. I'm done with them... gonna try Speedco next time. -
See, now that's a great idea. At least I can make them work for their money. Thanks for the advice, and hi to you too! -

We have also been using T/A for pm service. I did not understand why it was 110 for my tripac either. Now the truck is in the shop getting the trans replaced. My mechanic said he found a major trans oil leak and that the transmission was down by 3 gallons. This was 1 month after our last PM at the TA in Montgomery New York. No more pms at ANY other place but speedco from now on.

Ya i have been ripped off for $800 from a mom and pop.shop in vegas a few months back. Charged me and didnt fix the truck then when i disputed all the high labor charges they were offended and said how dare i. Google is the power of word of mouth. Google that shop and put a google review with your story. Thats our credit report for a business nowadays.worldwide word of mouth.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
On a brighter note, I highly reccommend the folling T/A's as i have had nothing but great service and good prices...
Eloy, AZ
Ganado, TX
Matthews, MO
Also, if you are ever in Abilene, TX and have an issue, Corey-Wetsel Freightliner and Western Star are really good folks. I blew a clutch and they quoted me just at $2,700 for the entire repair (clutch, input, u-joints, forks, berrings, ect ect) and the total came to $3,400. They then took off the labor and only charged me the quoted amount. Plus they got me lunch both days I was there.ralph and scottied67 Thank this.
