Yep, have 2 good friends (both truckers) who've had heart attacks in the last 2 years. Both had triple bypass. Neither one of them were what you would call overweight either.

It’s never to late to start taking better care of yourself. I smoked for 23.5 years, was really starting to feel the effects of that the last couple of years. I quit the first week of March. You would be surprised the difference in how you feel after only even one month of not smoking. It’s a ##### though, the first six weeks were hell for me. Best thing I ever did. And I think I have couple years on you.

Ya i keep thinking of taking a couple months off work so i can get a chantax prescription to help ease the pain of quitting.

Quitting smoking was easy for me years ago. Quitting donuts is another story ;-)

Me too, the cigs we're easy compared to giving up my donuts and even worse my Dr Pepper. I'm not a coffee drinker, but sure had gotten attached to my 2 Dr Peppers a day!!!

I quit almost 3 months ago. I’m 46 and had been smoking since I was 13 years old. I feel better and am making a appointment with a pulmonologist. I’m sure I’m long term screwed but, it’s way easier to work flatbed now.

I used chantax a couple times till it worked. I hear Wellbutrin works better?

I tried that stuff once, didn’t do a thing for me. I just got it in my mind that I was gonna do it, and did it.
