Consider the lease payment in the above spreadsheet I posted.

My buddy is paying $2,600 a month for that truck. However, there's a $35,000 buy out at the end if he wants to keep it.

Do the math. $2,600 a month for 60 mos PLUS a $35,000 buy out.

Think about that all you lease/op wannabes

 

Yeah that trailer rent is an outright ripoff. It in itself tells me that the company he is with are greedy crooks. Ptfu...I just spat on them.

As far as hammering the guy over the head, it doesn't do any good. I've tried every which way but Sunday to no avail.

The underbelly of a lot of these lease op programs is really ugly. Although there are some opportunities out there, they are far and few between.

Unfortunately, a lot of guys don't have the business acumen to decipher the smoke & mirrors these companies who are more than happy to shift all liability onto them utilize.

Once the recruiter gets done with them, they're convinced they're going to be living the high life

In general a lease purchase plan is a source of revenue for the company. The equipment is purchased at wholesale, then sold retail for lack of a better description.

Back several years, a few companies that I have familiarity with did have some good purchase lease plans. From what I have learned is that currently, the plans are not as favorable as once been.

Company sponsored purchase programs and lease programs can put you into a truck with low out of pocket expenses. Fully understand this, just not a fan.

 

Only trailer I've ever rented I lived in and got laid in lol.
