BD69: The Owner Operator Chronicles

This is what it's all about in the whole scheme of things. Me hanging out with one of my grandsons this morning.

 

I can not understand why some people can’t just tell you good luck on your new rig. My Grandmother used to tell me “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything”. Just because he wouldn’t buy your truck does not make you wrong. As a Pre-emissions Detroit Diesel owner I want to wish you good luck on your business.

 

Thought the same thing! I think he washed out but I caught heat when I said it last time. I was with TMC for 5 years before I moved on. It was very common to have newbies join TMC saying how they are going to rock the world. Next thing their gone. Now I liked reading the man's post and wished him well. But, that's what happens. Bring it on, i can take it.

 

Not sure about the heat, or bring it on.
Thing is this is trucking. It takes a certain attitude, mentality or what ever you want to call it.
Some have it, others, not. That applies to family as well.
They are in it, just a bit of a different way.

 

I remember how homesick I was when I first hit the road in 2009.

I had never felt so lonely in all my life...

I was determined to position myself where I could have more home time if I continued in this industry. I achieved that goal.

Since, my offspring has produced more offspring, which is an unbelievable blessing to this aging grandpa.

I mean, just take a look at these beautiful little twin granddaughters of mine

 

I recently watched a documentary (Showtime) on the life of Eric Clapton called, Life in 12 Bars.

If you haven't seen it, give it a shot if you can.I linked a trailer to it.

 

Not sure if it’s just me, but I see some mischief in those eyes. The cuteness factor is just a bonus.
