The newer set back axle trucks turn so easy and have such short hoods that the extra wheel base needed fir a big sleeper is no big deal. I got friends with 130 inch ari sleeper that have a much tighter turning radius than i do. Heck they can almost even have a lighter empty weight if they dump their water tanks.

Really? I'd love to get 1 of the Petes or Kenworths from "Bolt on" sleepers then. Heck, they're like $20k-30k more than a brand new W900.

Gotta work up to that caliber though. Not even close to buying a truck yet. But it seems like a nice goal to work towards to. I'm not too big on a big Wb, since I'm not sure what type of freight I'll be hauling.

Well, give me a 800 mile run and 11 hours and change to do it in, you better give me paper logs. The magic box just wouldn't let me work any magic today. It's ok, I'm tired and it's getting close to time to get out of the truck for a few days. I know where im reloading, but know idea of whete im going with it yet, guess I'll know soon enough.

    More later...

Yep, not doing that with the black box. Lol. Man I don't miss those days. Heck I feel run down if I run over 400 miles in a day. Being on percentage is making me lazy. Lol

A little downtime with refreshments makes those long days seem not so bad!

So now I'm setting in the penalty box because this load was supposed to pick up at 0400. Who's planing this crap. Ok, if I had been able to pull off a miracle and got the load there at 1930 last night, how in the Hell was I supposed to get unloaded, wash out a trailer get a 10 in and get to my reload? There's only 8.5 hours between my scheduled unload and my reload...

Well, I got a load after this to take me back to NC for a little time off at least. Being a new O/O I can't really afford much downtime but I am getting a little frazzled with the poor planning and it may co.e to the point of having to turn down a load just to make a point. I hope not, but this is getting old. I'm not going to lose 2mpg in fuel to leadfoot a load someone else messed up on...at least not without some offset thrown my way. If I screw up I'll eat it but I'm not just going to screw myself for the shear enjoyment of it.

    More later...

That's the beauty of self dispatch, I'm the one doing my planning. It made me enjoy trucking again.
