Was at the company yard one time getting the truck worked on. Ops manager comes over to me and asks if I would go recover a truck for him, said he would pay me $200 for it.

Well, when I got to the truck, I opened the door and stopped dead, got down and when the retching stopped and I could breath, Pulled out the phone and got pictures.
Next, down to the home depot, and yep I walked it, only a mile, picked up two full tyvek paint suits, latex gloves and dust masks also a small box of trash bags.

No, I did not clean it up. Trash bags went over the seats so I had a place to sit, suited up and drove back to the yard.

Made the ops manager come out to the truck, he paid me $350.

 

During my short stint in the office the boss told me "get that ####### lease operator out of my truck!"

So, I had him drop it off at the local Volvo dealership. They sent me pictures over the next day. Almost $3,000 to get the detail done on the inside of the truck.

Similar experience to yours. Instead they had to tear out carpet, mattress, built-in refrigerator, etc. Covered with mold, dog hair, urine, crap smell, you name it.

I have a hard time comprehending how people can live & exist like that.

 

Not sure what they did with the truck. Seems to have disappeared not long after that.
