Right and scooters are useful if you're in elementary school but that's about it

Ran a S60 with freightliners ultrashift for quite a while. The best I was ever able to get was 7.2, most of the time 6.8.
I did tend to run it in manual mode more than I should have. When I moved into the DD15 ultrashift, they had fixed a lot of the problems. After a trip to the doctor and a full check-up, I was able to average 7.3 consistently.

The cat motors I could never get better than 6.7.

Internationals all had cummins and 10 speeds. Not sure why the 9900 was getting such bad MPG, the 9400 was a lot better.

I ran an S60 at Gaines. 13spd, 3.55 rears and I'd get around 7.4 out of it with the usual 45.000lb lumber load.

Of course it is. My biggest problem with autos in trucks is they have difficulties getting them to hold up behind a little 5.9 cummins

Because those are automatics not automated manual transmissions like the DT12, M-drive, Ultrashift, etc that you find in big trucks.

I like shifting gears and watch the impatient auto drivers running up my ars as I pause thru the gears winding it up, especially on the on ramps. I see more and more auto drivers trying to get around me like the 4 wheelers on the ramps so I have to pull out early to get on the highway. Sooner or later they will get around me and reach their running speed between 60> 68. When I catch up to them I just put the left signal on and get down the road. Also notice some of these auto drivers have the need for speed to get thru parking lots. As a note here I am not implying that you are one of these types of drivers. It's just an observation that I'm typing about.
