Unfortunately they don't last if you run up north in the winter. That coating they put on them starts to peel like clear coat paint. At least that's been the experience of the guys i personally know that have had them.Oxbow, Tug Toy, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.

I've heard the same thing.

I'm guessing they don't last long when you make a habit out of hauling road salt either?Oxbow and spyder7723 Thank this.

I think several years ago, the Dura-Brite system was actually like doing a chrome plate on the wheels.
The new ones, like the last couple of years, they have gone to a new system that is not a plating system.
The new style is called Dura-Brite EVO.
Thats what the company specs now on all trucks.
Be cool if they would do tanks like that.Tug Toy, spyder7723, Broke Down 69 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I delivered one of those portable snow scrapers to clean the snow and ice off the tops of trailers to up state New York Wednesday . Shoveled two inches of snow off my deck before I pulled out or the rest area and 25 deg. It was snowing on and off for the past three days making my way home. A local police department around here has warrant out for that ground hog.whoopNride, Oxbow, Broke Down 69 and 2 others Thank this.

Let's give it a few years to see how they hold up over time. I priced them two weeks ago, way to expensive for me if they hold up only for a handful of years. The issue i have is this truck hasn't been polished in probably 10+years. All the aluminum was white and pitted. Once i get it all cleaned up it will be a simple matter of washing and final stage buff wheel. The time consuming and back aching part was the 7 stages getting them back in shape.Panhandle flash, whoopNride, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.
