May be the SCR inlet or outlet temp sensors. Insite says there should be no more than a 43 degree difference in temps...mine was around 275 degrees. Those are cheap and relatively easy to replace so we're going to swap them out and see what happens before diving into the harness.

Replaced both sensors and she's back to a smooth, quiet idle. Of course the proof of the repair won't be in until I'm loaded and pulling, but at least the initial signs are good. Picking up a load at 1400 headed to Madison, Wisconsin. Reload a few miles away for Redlands, California. That's enough miles to shake her down properly.

So far, so good. Milage has come back up, although that has to be taken in context, the two loads have both been light compared to 6 weeks worth of loads north of 78k. Still and all, she is running strong and quite now and I hope we've put this issue to rest. Been doing a little reading and may have the harness replaced in August when I plan to take a nice long break to go to Myrtle Beach with three of my friends and chase a little white ball all over the place and perform my sacred designated driving duties.

Nope. She's going to be vacationing with her family at that time. I was smart enough to work it all out that way.
