Well in an effort to get this thread back to page @ rather then the obituary page I will state this observation...... Running down the road at any speed I have noticed reefers will pass me. BUT when I park in the afternoon at a truck stop with tons of open parking not even requiring them to back in they will park next to me. Just an observation.

Sorry guys, I've been really running hard, chasing the next load, trying to make a living. After Cali, it's back to being all about Wisconsin and the trainwreck this is the interstate system in the greater Milwaukee area. I'm spending way to much time in that craphole and found it necessary today to voice that opinion to a couple dispatchers in Hope's that I can go elsewhere. I've put a fair amount of coin in the bank and I can sit still for a bit if it comes to it, but I seriously doubt that it will. Setting myself up for a nice vacation in a month or so...I need it pretty bad.
More later...taodnt, Panhandle flash, motocross25 and 5 others Thank this. -
I've been off (again) since the 10th. Thought I was going back out early last week, but decided not to.
After feeling like crap, eating like crap, a lot of weight gain since I went back on the road 3 years ago, higher blood pressure levels, despite being on a high b.p. med dosage, I decided I had to hit the reset button as far as my health goes.
That's what I'm doing. The doctor prescribed a new b.p.med, along with changing my diet, cutting way down on the sodium, etc, I've managed to drop 17lbs in the past 2 weeks.
In addition, my blood pressure has moderated to an average of 123/73 during this time.
I did this with success 5 years ago, so I know how to do it. Sticking with it over the long haul is obviously the key.
Pushing 61 now doesn't make it any easier either. But I'm determined. -
Btw, as far as my post is concerned, I'm fine. Just needed to flip the switch. I aready feel so much better in just 2 weeks

Changing diet is one of the hardest things to do.
Funny, had a coworker say something about my eating habits. I put him to a challenge. For two weeks, no soda, no sugar in coffee. On the sweet tea, we compromised at a 50/50 mix. At three weeks, he was still doing this. Then he had a soda. About killed him. Been off them for a few years now, lost like 25 lbs with out trying.Oxbow, Paddlewagon, Broke Down 69 and 4 others Thank this. -
