Well, trucking can be a rough deal sometimes through no fault of your own and last night/this morning was one of those times. Receiver was backed up and then I had two damaged cases to deal with so it ended up being a bit aggravating. Got to Miller Coors and just dropped the trailer for them to load and shagged over to the Oak Creek Loves to get some much needed sleep. I'll go back and grab the trailer around 2100 and run it in to Omaha and still be about 26 hours ahead of the delivery time. One really great thing about Morehouse is pretty much any load coming in to a 50 mile or so radius of Omaha, and that's a big percentage of loads, gets brought to the yard and our shag drivers deliver it. Saves a lot of hours for us OTR guys and hours equals revenue. Going to take a couple days off to recharge my batteries when I get in and then hit it hard again.

    More later...

When they deliver a load for you like that, do they take a percentage or have a flat rate they take off the load?

I've always wondered how companies that pay percentage handle relays and deliveries by local shag drivers.

Believe it or not, there is no charge at all for it.

Well, I specifically asked about it and that's what I was told. Morehouse hasn't lied to me yet and all my settlements square, so I'm going with what I said.

You misunderstood what i meant. They may not charge you up front, or deduct from your settlement but you are certainly paying for it. Its coming out of every load you pull in the percentage they take.

At least they don't charge him beyond the cut they already take. There's nothing worse than a company saying we will take x% from the gross revenue, but oh yeah, we're also charging back for this, this, this, this, this, that, those and this. Which is what most companies that pay percentage do.
