Well, two blown tires, another check engine light a good load lost and a heavy not so great replacement load...and I'm still smiling.

The #3 cylinder misfire code popped again and this time our best mechanic, they're all good but this cat is the best, took charge and pushed the shop manager out of the way and drove into it. Three sets of valves were pretty well out of whack and #3 was out enough to intermittently overlap causing the misfire. The rack is tight and she's running very smooth now, of course it needs to be loaded and pulling to know for sure, but the mechanic is quite sure he has that issue cleared up and I trust him, also got to watch the process up close and had it explained to me so clearly and plainly that I'm pretty sure a kid would have understood.

Going to Columbus, Ohio...man I wish @G13Tomcat was around to hassle about that...and grabbing a quick reload coming back here to start 5 days off with my girl. It's been to long since I've seen her and I am looking forward to it for any number of reasons.

    More later...

Bd,did the mechanic explain how come the valves were out off whack?
    Bad overhead?
Or not done at the right time?

Book says to run the rack 100k after rebuild. I'm nearly 150k and it just got done. Good mechanics...not so great shop manager, actually told me they had been throwing parts at it.

D'uh...and I was rooting the bill. Smdh.

I've had a pretty good couple days off. @bzinger and I went out last night and acted like we had just turned 21 and this afternoon @Panhandle flash and I went to a really great Greek joint for a late lunch.

We all work hard and make many sacrifices to do this job, it's really nice to be able to spend some downtime with fellow drivers who understand this. There is something very much like the feeling I had for the guys I was in the service with about it.
