Good thing to do. Sometimes it can be simple weekend, other times it will be several days. Maybe a short trip some place. Do something different.

Well, I got hit with the @Broke Down 69 bug on Saturday.
On Saturday I dropped my empty trailer at the drop yard and bob-tailed home a few miles. About a mile away from the house I noticed the air pressure gauge started failing like a rock and that's when the red alert started. I was able to limp home, barely.
The tractor will not build or register air at all...
I had a local mobile diesel repair guy come by yesterday to troubleshoot it, just to see if it was something simple like an obvious air leak.
He crawled underneath and unhooked the airline at the compressor and the compressor was pumping air just fine he said.
He then used his air compressor to fill the tanks with air at the air dryer, pressing the discharge a couple of times to make the tanks had air.
Not only were there no detectable air leaks, the gauges inside the truck weren't even registering the air he put in the tanks via his compressor.
I'm not even going to try & guess what's wrong. Fortunately, I have the extended 500k mile warranty. Plus, I have money in the bank to withstand the downtime.
VOLVO ASIST had it towed from my driveway yesterday to the closest dealership.
So. it looks like I can focus on finishing up my landscape project with my son this weekVic Firth, Tug Toy, Broke Down 69 and 2 others Thank this. -
In reality, the timing of the breakdown couldn't have been better, if there is such a thing LOL. At least I wasn't coming down Sexton Pass at 78,000 lbs when it happened.
There are several other aspects of how the whole thing worked out that really make me realize my guardian angel must be looking out for me, but I won't bore any of you with the detailsVic Firth, Tug Toy, Broke Down 69 and 5 others Thank this. -
Well, it turns out it was the air compressor after all. Mobile mechanic wasn't worth his salt.
Truck is fixed (under warranty) already.Vic Firth, Tug Toy, Panhandle flash and 5 others Thank this. -

Made it to my grandson's bb game this evening. He faced 13 batters, had 12 strikeouts, no hits, no runs. Yeah, he's pretty darn good
