Lol. I'm not kidding, when I woke up to that temp and no stars or moon viable I nearly crapped a brick. Life is weird that high up but once I dropped down into the valley it was 48 and I started to breath again.

Ya know running 'local' .... my house isn't exactly on route to where I go, good thing I've got access for the semi. Too oft, I'd get the panic call and have to stop by and kinda wreck my day to load my mom back onto her hospital bed.
Just hope I did the right thing.
Thanks, bro.

We do what we have to do. Is it the right thing? Is it the wrong thing? Doesn't matter. You do what you have to do.Last edited: Jun 4, 2018

Showed up at 0100 for my 0200 delivery. Was out of there by 0145.
Drove 9 miles down the road for my 0500 pick up. Arrived over 2 hours early and am being loaded now.
This has been my experience on the lane I run, especially since the ELD mandate kicked in.
Most of the shippers/receivers I go to seem to be cognitive of the HOS and are working more proficiently to get trucks in and out.
At least that has been my experience. Your mileage may very, especially if you're hauling meat!Vic Firth, Shock Therapy, Highway Sailor and 2 others Thank this. -
Somehow I got on this brokers email address. These are the kinds of load offers I get. I'll say it again, the trucking industry has been subsidizing the Lumber Barons for a long time. What is sad to me is that there are companies & individuals more than happy to tie up their trucks for 2 plus days on crap like this.
I'm the one that inserted the red text with miles & mileage rate.
