U find it hard to believe in 2 years u never ran out of hours. The 14 hr clock is usually the once that screws everything up. I run a 300 miles radius for the most part and am constantly working against the 14 clock

My 1st trucking job, we ran 'round the clock, on paper logs. When I asked my boss how I was supposed to log all that, he said, "you can get it real close with a pencil",,,My union bread job had elogs, and I never ran out of hours either, but I was on set runs and on a rare occasion, like weather, I'd get a "2 minute warning" saying I was running out, and I had to pull over,( real safe) and enter a "weather delay". I never got in any trouble, but a road driver, that just wouldn't work well.

Don’t know of many farm trucks running eld’s, especially since hours of service don’t matter when hauling their own stuff.
alds, Cattleman84, 201 and 1 other person Thank this. -
This can happen to ANYONE... All it takes is a single lapse of thought to forget to set brakes or set chocks... I've forgotten once, Luckly the truck started to roll before I was under it. Spooked me bad enough that i decided that the repair could wait until later... It was just a shorted light anyway.
