    I've seen stuff like that before. You wonder if the operator really can't see the chassis, or they are just messing with the driver. I've seen crane operators do some pretty stupid things.

    That's why you ensure you unlocked your chassis correctly...

    Anyway, everytime someones taking a can off you, theres a yard supervisor in a pickup near you to make sure it's all ok.

    Just last night, the crane operator dropped the container on my tri axle.....I thought he had blown the tires out.....there's supervisors????....maybe at the ports but only occasionally at the rails....

    UPRR once bought us a set of airbags, right front lock was binding, I told the operator to put the lift on it and push down and to the right very gently, he put the full weight of the lift on the right side, fully compressed and blew the right side bags (but, I was able to unlock the can). The sound was so loud, it brought everyone running.
