Nobody has told me that I sound muffled. My talk back sounds real good.

When I listen to others on the radio, they sound muffled. But when I listen to the NOAA weather its clear. stock mic no work done on cb. Same antenna that I used with cobra 29 which sounded good.

 

Sounds like the receive section of the radio may need to be aligned, sounds like it could be receiving off frequency.

Its been about 6.5 years since he was active here. What area do you run, you might be near a decent shop. And check the cb white list thread too.
