    Yes the fuse goes at the battery not at the amp, I would run a minumum of 12 gauge for any amp.

    Maybe take amp to a cb shop and have them put on a one piece of lower ga wires at a 15 ft length with fuse holder already in place..I had it done to my old tx star 350....Gave it a lil more peek according to tech..I needed the wire length anyways so i just killed two birds one stone and got a lil more from the amp...Cant wait to install it when my new truck comes..
