Becoming a DOT/scalehouse inspector

police work is not dangerous, its much safer than driving a truck

 

WHAT??? In 2013 100 police officers were killed in the line of duty, almost 2 per day, not including the ones that are injured. Not sure of the truckers killed or injured, but I don't think it's that many.
Oops, 2 per week. Still, sorry, I couldn't deal with people at their worst. You want to be a cop, go right ahead.

The idea that being a police officer is a great danger and sacrifice is nothing more than a useful fiction. Policing in this country doesn't even make the top ten most dangerous jobs. A truck driver is more than twice as likely to die on the job than a cop.

All of Northern Calfornia sucks. Come out to SoCal where it is warm, sunny and better than everywhere else on the US mainland. (I say mainland because we have NOTHING on Hawaii)

 

Northern Cali is beautiful... Just gotta be in the right places. And I keep planning an all-inclusive to Hawaii for the fiancée and I. Gonna be a long way down the road.

 

I agree. I am saving my money to move out there. Hawaii I'm sure is nice but being an island there are only so many opportunities and everything has to be imported which makes everything ridiculously expensive. From LAX Hawaii is only like a 3 hour flight right?
