it’s possible, i do it. I spend on average less than 5 nights in the truck a month.

Don't know what kind of work you've been doing but just so you know sometimes those home daily driving jobs leave you home just enough to eat, shower and sleep. Especially as an O/O

Other question is how much does insurance normally cost for a truck and trailer under O/O ?

In another thread on the subject. News OO was quoted $3000.00 per month TRACTOR ONLY.

Going to depend on what you are doing. If you stay within a 200ish mile radius it will be much cheaper than a guy doing OTR. No idea how anybody could afford 3000$ a month, that's just crazy

I would lease up 1st. Get your feet wet & build up that bank account. Then when you feel comfortable reevaluate your options. If you want tanker and flatbed work, SJ transportation in Woodstown is a good place to start. For the most part everything is out & back with them. Never more than a night or two in the truck at a time. Or at least that’s how it was when i worked there back around 2010.

    Why is this the case?
