i would go one step at a time
lease onto a carrier let them do most of the paperwork
then when you see how tat is working you can look into getting your own authority
becoming owner operator "need advice"

There's companies out there that you can lease on to and they will take care of you. All you have to do is research them, here and other sites. Some companies fit you better than others.

I had dinner with 2 mercer guys last night. They both claim to net $150k plus. I wasn't sure I believed it until I saw their trucks. Amazing trucks, custom paint and all the chrome bells and whistles. Very nice.

Yeah, those mercer guys seem to be rolling in it. From what I've been reading, rates are super good, and the options on loads are endless. But they also know exactly how to do it, and what they want.

whats all this paperwork you drivers keep talking about.i have my own auth and i have an accountant for taxes fuel tax lady who takes of all fuel tax permits and tag filing.you pay people to do most things,just remember if you do it right you will make money and you will need tax right offs,oh and to that one driver who suggested that drivers make 50,000 otr well you will do way more and personally i wouldnt run the road for 50,000,
