No it wasnt...he actually asked what did we expect her to do at 2am..now she claimed I was loud while talking...yes I was upset about being bitten..did I use profanity NO...I was blamed for the situation & was told they couldnt use someone like me...At this point it was best for me to leave because it told me the company does not care about the well fare of drivers. Look up the hotel & the complaints...Im not the first nor will I be the last.

I've complained about the hotels as well, and have never been asked to leave or go home. Usually the problem was fixed. Something else happened that you were sent home.

Yup. My take? The OP had a bad experience, and raised his/her concern to staff in a somewhat unprofessional manner.

Now, let's look at this from PTL's point of view. Perhaps the OP, in the course of his/her duties with PTL, has a bad experience with a shipper / receiver. It's likely that the OP will again raise his/her concern to the customer in a somewhat unprofessional manner.

They did what they had to do. Remember, there are plenty of driver applicants out there that CAN raise their concerns in a professional manner. Next in line, please.

    LoboSolo Thanks this.

Well Im sorry this is so unbelievable...He said I was being sent home because I called the recruiter & disrupted her morning with it...that I just couldnt let it go!! So forgive me because I was unsatisfied with the way it was handled and wanted another hotel.

And for the record I have never been rude to a shipper nor will I ever be..Yes I do agree there are so many applicants out there. So my take on it didnt matter. I was not rude to them nor to her but people are entitled to their opinions...I have no reasons to place untrue statements.. the company on the other hand will eventually have to face that the hotel is nasty whether from me or someone else..Ive posted my thought and stand behind every word regardless of what others may think!!

What stopped you from just calling a cab and fixing the problem on your own in the middle of the night? Work it all out later after you calmed down? Cooties happen.

Ive only worked for 3 companies...thought I was thru but decided to go out with my husband...They made it sound real good. From this point on I will do my research on the company before I appy.

Probably a good idea. Lots of good information on MOST companies right here on this site.

You're reading too much into it.I wasn't going to accuse them just ask them and tell them this is what I heard.I don't ecspect them to take any action,be very surprised if they took my email seriously.Hope you don't get this bent out of shape on the road if you drive trk.

About rule #5 in trucking is not to be a complainer. Complaining on day 1 doesn't paint a good picture of your future with them. Companies have contracts with these motels. They pick the cheapest one in the area, hence problems.

Complaining to them will get you absolutely no where as they don't have an account with another motel nor will they fork out cash to every new recruit that is not happy with their room. The best thing someone can do is make the best of a bad situation. Stick you some crackers on the opposite corner of the bed and maybe they won't bother you. :)

If anything secretly call the local Dept of Health and they'll pull a surprise inspection on them.

I've seen worse. CRST puts 3 recruits to a room. The last one there gets a cot.

    LoboSolo and joseph1135 Thank this.
