I mean even if your 100% for E logs or just accept it as it is what it is, the incentive was there for mega companies to lobby, the interest was there for technology companies to lobby.

If you read those little trucking business newspapers at TA/ Petro, I remember reading those same words from a higher up at Werner I believe- " elogs will level the playing field" ... but one must know, this is not true, the field will never be even and that's ok, this is America. This one man carrier will almost never have the buying power of the mega! Tires at wholesale, new equipment at wholesale, fuel at tremendous discounts, so before the elog supporters bash every non e log supporter; just remember, the mega trucking companies just took one of the edges from their competition, the owner operator/ small carrier. In the name of safety that is- (even though they can't seem to be safe themselves) * I digress

So you take that extra competitive edge from the small carrier, who pays retail on tires, pays retail for fuel, who pays retail for new equipment, or pays retail for parts and service... what did you do? Well, in the eyes of big business I'm sure they feel like it's a good step towards consolidating trucking

Wether folks on here want to believe this or not I've spoke my piece. I really don't care. Unlike most people I've been on elogs my whole career, now I'm on paper and wow the difference is amazing! No more rushing, But carry on, maybe you all truckers will even be allowed driver facing cameras!! And breathalyzers!! And ankle bracelets to make sure your really in the sleeper berth!! lol I crack myself up, but reading truckers responses on here makes me shake my head left and right

If all of us truckers would unite like the Indian truckers do, we could do our jobs and run our business without the harassment. A vehicle inspection should be checking for one thing, can this vehicle stop and turn? Check brake pads, slake adjusters and major air leaks and steering. That's it. Not measuring cracks in the windshield. Wake up truckers, your to important to be "the frog in the boiling pot" not even realizing your boiling until the bubbles start to come over

Elogs or current HOS regulations are good for those who like sitting idle in their idling trucks watching stupid TV shows and time wasting at truck stops instead of working. The current HOS means too much sitting for healthy grown ups, promotes laziness and getting fat imo.

Im never parked for more then 10-11 hours and NEVER EVER at a truck stop, 36" flat top bunk so no TV, regional runs from Spokane to Seattle, Portland mostly sometimes Boise, avg 2200 miles a week in a 65mph truck, takes anywhere from 1-2.5 to load and 1-4 hours to unload the products I haul, Dry bulk or chemical tanker, 5-6 days a week, 65-70hrs with a 34-40 hr reset at home. Oh and take home $900-1100 a week but cause Im on elogs I dont make any money, and waste to much time.:rolleyes:

How nice. Your missing the point. Yes you can make $ on e logs, yes it can be done. But it is not what many people want or need, but is being forced. Some people actually don't like being over policed and told how one must run their business

America was founded on life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. So forgive our stubborn attitudes
