Actually people do LOL It's cheaper to learn in your own plane and it will be worth more whenever you want to sell it(in 99% of the cases)...I taught many that bought a cheap 2 seater(no need to pay for seats you can't use)plane to learn in then sold it and upgraded once they had a license...

    But we get the point!

Depends on the company - I know the one we are going with does (Klingon's cousin is doing that - his wife will be riding along, but not driving) there is a minimal cost (insurance) - and you have to be out of training - so ask the co. you plan to go with if that is an option.

Hey PainNdaneck, if you want to do a little learning about owner operator or actually the trucking industry in general check out the OOIDA website. Really good site with reputable links.

Yeah there's no door to slam, just a curtain with a zipper! We had our days, but who doesn't. Your going to get that no matter what two people are stuck together in closet for 2-3 months at a time! I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world! The memories are far more valuable then the money we ever made. Wish I took more picts and vids though.

Chompi I take it your spouse went along with you? If so how was it? what were the pros/cons and what were any issues you experianced?

(anyone else who can add, it would be wonderful!)

Just wondering. I am trying to be as prepared as I can get.
