Yes she got her CDL and we drove team for seven years. She ended up loving it. It took her a few months to get used to the lifestyle. That is probably the hardest part. When she saw how much money we were making she really wished we had done it sooner! The bad part about teaming is that you have to learn how to sleep while the truck is rolling. Eventually you will get tired enough to where it won't be a problem. Another bad thing is that when you do come home you are used to sleeping in a moving truck and it's tough to sleep in a bed that isn't moving. Plus your sleep schedule is different when you are driving. Also as a team you are expected to run no matter what! Most companies expect teams to average 1000 miles a day or 7000 miles a week. This takes some refining of your driving and planning to achieve. The memories and good times we had make it all worth it. They far out weigh all the money you will make while doing it! Good luck to you guys. It's a hell of an adventure!

Thank you! I am looking forward to the adventure. Right now I am just going along for support of my husband, but perhaps down the road I might get my cdl. I am not the greatest driver, thus, I am a little scared about something so big. But, I have found I can drive suv's and pick ups a lot better than a small car, so perhaps I will do alright. For now though my husband just wants to get me out of my pitiful retail job and let me experiance life more. I will be 30 the end of this year and have not done much of anything in my life besides college and working, which has all been from 'home'. I/we enjoy traveling and camping so much that I think that I/we will just love it! I understand there is going to be issues, there is with anything, but my husbands biggest thing is if it is just the 2 of us, we are not having kids, why pay for me to 'stay at home' and have double the bills? Plus, we have never really been apart so being apart may not be the best idea in the long run. And he told me he would feel selfish if he got to do all this traveling while I am stuck at home. I think we are making a great decision and will also have a great adventure we can look back on! Thanks again! :biggrin_25519:
