The thing to remember with driving a cement mixer or dump truck, is depending on where you live the job could be seasonal. I am in the concrete industry driving a tractor trailer, but our mixer drivers make about $27 hr with a class b license. about half of our mixer drivers get laid off for about 2-3 month in the winter time. That is in the Chicago area. I get laid off in the winter and i can tell you it is not much fun.
