Most likely its a company policy off the carrier he is leased to. So his carrier sets these policies thart eat away his clock, but he blames the feds and elogs. Typical.

I always ask for more money on principle. There’s always room that’s nothing new. I’m giving peers insight to how I run my truck. All money has a purpose weather it’s a measly 25,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,120 or whatever you ask for and get do that throughout the year and watch them profit grow. Volume and goals are what I’m talking about putting loads together and adding that extra 400 a week increase to your pot. I know it sounds petty but be persistent and you can raise your revenues by 10,000-20,000 a year off what some call peanuts.Volume don’t have to mean more loads it could mean just asking for a seemingly insignificant amount extra. We can educate and empower each other or we can just talk. If I was a broker I wouldn’t lose respect or no do business with a owner operator because they ask for more money. That’s why you are a owner to prosper and enjoy your life. This game have been backwards for a longtime drivers. They have companies that came up out the woodworks the owner had no backgrounds in trucking but somehow was able to lease trucks on and became wealthy. While the owner operators still struggling. I’m saying as a owner operator leased on to the company you give these companies 42,000 plus all the chargebacks in the form of deductions a year you technically pay for their company driver in their truck. Then they fleece the truck to someone at 35000 a year and still get the 42000+ a year off the top. there’s no stopping the Mega carriers. I don’t envy them because they figure out was to outsmart people and dumb everything down.

Ok pull in a weigh station without logging a pretrip, or stop and get fuel like a nascar pit stop,I spoke for myself if I take 5 min to fuel, I’m still going to walk around my truck/trailer and go inside the truck stop 9/10 got to wait on Spyder and Street beater to move their truck and by the time I get up to speed that’s more then 15 min once you start that clock all time goes against the 14 weather it’s off or on duty.
