I eld should be for the people who want it. I hope people will understand that this is a money grab. They tried to slow us down in 2013 with that 1-5 off duty one reset every 7 days. I personally think they should hurry up with autonomous trucks. And see how many fans of these big company eld games will post. If they can eliminate your job for a robot they will pay their man in Washington money to make it happen. Trucking companies reserved those autonomous trucks. Technology is invented and pushed upon you. Remember these days it’s only going to get worse.

Based on gearjamers explanation, the elds and hos rule bs is becuse of drivers. Not a money grab. Autonomous trucks are no different than McDonald's having kiosks instead of order takers. Not part of the same argument.

My guys are local and on eld... not that it matters, you cant touch a set of keys unless your on the clock. We pay for drivers to clean their trucks, fuel their trucks plug in their trucks... wait? Their time is valuable AND we pay them for every minute of it? Nahhhhh cant be. We have elds so we must be screwing them somehow... pay rate? Nope. Thats above average....hmmm lemmie think...

I asked myself after 15 yrs why invest in a industry that seems to pay less year over year miss out on life by running otr or working local 60-70 hrs a week. Being treated like a child rules of my profession being passed by people who is not even licensed experienced nor ever done my job. But yet a set of rules for health, Equipment, and enforcement for a already slim margin business model. I’m done with this Eld arguing because these company drivers and owner operators that have been forced to run elogs been living a pipe dream.

I like that you have a answer for everything but yet the very industry you work in will lobby to regulate you out...

Nah, im just having fun messing with the cry babies. 98 percent of the arguments boil down to "wah wah cuz i dont wanna! Wah wah!" As to regulated out of exsistance? Eh? Bound to happen eventually to everyone everywhere. Its not the end of the world unless you are to #### stubborn to figure out what to do. The same thing happened to textiles and coal and dozens of other professions. The usa is still here...

And just to prove my point, if any of you guys think i support elds, go ahead and qoute a post from me that was in support. It doesn't exsist. All im doing is pointing out the failure of your arguments. Mis information, mis direction, and a lack of common sense has lead to this belief that somehow drivers were never, untill right this second, part of a federally regulated system. From day one, when you got that cdl, you accepted big brother telling you what you could do. But for so many years he just let you do whatever, you felt you were in charge. You bought your own line of crap.

No it’s because the big companies can and will under bid you out. They have the money you can’t compete with to wipe out owner operators. Acquire up regional and small companies for pennies on the dollar the facilities, yards and equipment this is bigger than you’ll really realize.
