It doesn't matter if the points follow the carrier. They dont care. It has nothing to do with elds. Gear thinks so, but then, he thinks we work in a unregulated field...

It isn't about being put out of business by the added costs, but rather the other things I'd rather do with that money. I earned it, so shouldn't I get to decide how it gets spent? Hell, for the monthly fee the company wanted to run their PeopleNet, I could take the wife out for a night on the town...contribute to the local economy instead of sending that money to a huge corporation which played a heavy role in getting the mandate pushed through.

Just tell 'em "Yeah, I don't care either. My factoring company is, let's just say 'family run'...and Vinny and Big Tony don't like it when folks don't pay.";)

See if that changes their smug little attitude.

Yeah but why all the constant costly changes. The one thing about this is I get the point of eld but one size don’t fit all. All the money grabs in the name of safety ,stress, greed, health and sacrifices that we make won’t matter to anyone but you and yours. Joking about issues of trucking and not realizing this will affect you in many ways. Ok I hope the guys who used to show up to the customer on time will now get in all of the cheerleaders way tomorrow and cost you a good week of revenue. And every time you’ll park the ones who probably got enough rest in the old days and leave will now make you sit there in your seat hoping somebody leave.

Sorry, your wrong. And it's well documented. Do your homework.
And as far as the "laws" about pushing drivers, you can find threads here with pics of the Qualcomm showing dispatchers asking g drivers why they stopped when they have time left.
