Schmidtrock - I've really enjoyed reading your posts. Keep up the good work and hope the best for you.
Not much to write home about today. Day one of orientation was uneventful and stress free! Feeling real chipper right now! Paperwork was filled out, application was gone over once again to make sure all is well. MVR was reviewed, first time I've seen mine, was pleased to see it clear of the one and only moving violation I ever had. The other fellers with us had to do a road evaluation and DOT physical, since we just finished academy we got to chill. Lunch was provided by Swift and was excellent chinese takeout from a lunch menu. I had the Moo Goo Gai Pan and it was more than enough food for a man twice my size. We were informed today by our training DM that our mentors were already penciled in and matched up and enroute!! So looks like Friday I'll be out there finally realizing my longterm dream! Tomorrow is more paperwork and videos of varying training nature. Will write more to this tomorrow! Peace.
Cool, glad you like it there !!!!! I live down the road from you, near the mud bog if you know where that is on 310 !!!! Good Luck !!!!!
EXCELLENT CHINESE TAKEOUT, WHAT? In Memphis we got a little ticket for the famed "Roach Coach"!!!! Hey, if you can stay awake for the next couple of days of Orientation, you've got it made! P.S. I heard thru the grapevine that all the mentors headed for FL to pick up students are Memphis Terminal cast-offs! And one more thing. You need another avatar picture....this time stand about 4 feet to your left!
Palatka is a unique place lol, about 50 miles from everything but hey we got Michelle McCool I graduated with that crazy girl... GO GATORS !!
