Don't beat yourself up too much, Wedge! If a man could predict the future, he'd be bored. Good luck and here's hoping you can get that appointment moved up a bit :)

Do you have to go to a specialist, or will any doctor do? If any doctor will do, can you go to an emergency care or urgent care facility? If you can, you probably won't need an appointment.

I'm good. All of this is a byproduct of relocation combined with a lack of understanding how their system works.

I'll get through it OK. I just hate delays.

In my case, and maybe yours as well, a specialist will be required.

In relocating, I did not re-establish myself with an area MD who specializes in Pulmonary care and sleep disorders. Because of how much time has passed since my last evaluation, it's possible they may order up a sleep study before they sign off.

Having my MD up north sign off is pointless because he would need to see me and that's a 1000 miles away. All of this is my own doing.

I'll sort it out now, but I could have done this months ago and didn't. :biggrin_25512:

    My bad.

    You may be right.

I went to see the company that I got my CPAP from, and they read the data card and printed off 6-month and 12-month reports with no trouble. Among other info, it showed how many days I'd used the machine during that period, and showed the average time per day I used it. Maybe you can find a company like that in your area that can get a report from your card and you can avoid having another sleep study done.

How would you have known in advance that you would run into this? Who at Swift would you have asked about this, and when?

Please let us know how things work out for you.

There is no way I could have known in advance. I would have to know a Swift driver that uses a CPAP.

It seems to me that it's a big deal to Swift because I, or anyone, will need to run the CPAP with no interruptions. So once you're hired, available power to run the CPAP becomes Swifts responsibility. I was told they would outfit the tractor. I guess if I make it through this madness, I'll find out.

I'll get myself squared away with the new MD. Hopefully, it'll be just a matter of a download and records being faxed from up north.

Certainly good info on your thread for anyone checking out Swift or I would presume most any company if this info is needed PRIOR to orientation

It sure does turn into an education for me as well as for anyone who is reading along.

It's funny how now that I need time to go by, it just crawls along. :biggrin_25518:

It's kind of like when you are getting ready to go on a trip-it takes forever to get to the day you leave and the travel times seems like it is 10 times longer and then the once you are there the time just blows by!

    Anticipation.........:yes2557:
