A question for current drivers. :biggrin_25511:

    Hello everyone.

This post is more of a question/discussion.

During my orientation at Central, I watched a video about "Drivers Legal Plan". In a nut shell, it's a program by where I can "retain" legal assistance should I ever get a traffic violation such as a speeding ticket. The cost of the program is about $4 per week. Is it worth it?

I don't know if this is something that's indigenous to Central, or if other drivers utilize this service.

So I'm looking forward to your thoughts and advice.

    Thanks in advance.

Its probably TCV Pro Drivers Service, its basicly AAA with Lawers for Truck Drivers, they go to court so you dont have to, you get discounts for being a member, and they have all kinds of there perks like Life Insurance...I know some drivers that have it, and some that don't. I'll probably get it at some point when I'm not makeing .25cpm anymore lol

Yeah, I'm hoping it's something I can sign up for after I've been out a while. I'm trying to keep the overhead down to a minimum.

I'm curious as to how many drivers actually by into it.

allot of them, they make enough to pay peaple to sit at truck stops and try to sell the service, and they have booths at truck shows too...

the way i see it, its like insurance. i'd rather have it and never use it rather than need it and not have it....

if your going to get it make sure its the tvc if not, get the tvc

I've read some thread on here where people have said it's a waste of money, but then again you know what they say about opinions lol.

I've been thinking about Ooida myself, but who knows. :)

I don't know what service it was but my boyfriend used to have that with his first company and ended up using it once. He got a ticket for backing over a fire hydrant (very poorly placed one lol) and they made it show on his record as like a headlight out or something minor like that instead.

Actually, now that I think about it, it may have been is old co-driver who that happened too. But anyway, you get the idea.
