Beginning the Long Awaited CDL Process

Finally.

Hello everyone.

Just a quick post. I have to report to Central at 10 am tomorrow for a DOT physical. Chompi mentioned to me that this is routine if you've been off the road for a bit. Maybe after that, I can get back on the road.

There will be more to come I'm sure.

Hello Everyone.

Well, uncross your fingers and toes, Central's doc won't sign off on my $1000 hearing system, claiming I won't hear the ambient noise when using it. This is totally untrue. I explained to her how the system interfaces with the hearing aids, allowing me to hear both the ambient noise and the trainer, and she's not buying it. And because she won't sign off, if I expect to drive for them, I'll have to take my fight to the high command in Utah.

That's not going to happen. Time to move on.

In summary, my hearing is good enough for the DOT, but because of the trainer's lack of effort, I'm forced to look elsewhere. Their loss.
