    Hey Wedge
I am sure you are going stir crazy! been a long arse haul since last winter when you finished up and got your CDL A. Well on a good note you hopefully will get to spend some time with your son! And the weather down south has got to be a bit better than the SNOW we are still getting in NY :biggrin_25516:! LOL!

I have been busy! Dave got a new job and starts Monday -helped him to get his paper work up to date etc and lucky didn't take long for him to get something. His last job cut his days to 2/week not enough to live on. Right now his son Alex (17 in May) is in Rochester since last Friday for his spring break. He goes back to Ohio tomorrow. We had a really nice week showing him Rochester and things like Niagara Falls and the finger lakes. I'm so glad one of his kids decided to spend some time in NY with us (his daughter was suppose to come but backed out at the last minute-very LONG story......:biggrin_2551:

Keep us updated on how things go!!!!! Take care my friend!!!!!

    Wedge Thanks this.

Sammycat, to quote the late Jimi Hendrix when asked why he was quitting as the opening act for the Monkees? His response was........................................I can't take it anymore! :biggrin_2556:

Vocational rehab is so slow I can't take it anymore. I made an appointment with my doctor to get new hearing aids. If the VR comes through, great. But I'm not waiting around anymore.

My delay is driven by budget, not patience. I've been selling off lots of tools to raise the money for the hearing aids. I'm just about set.

Hopefully, I can get away without the refresher course.

No, not yet, Sammycat. Word is he'll be here on the 30th.

I want to see him before I go on the road. Only Central can put me back OTR immediately. If they say no, I'll take the refresher, and start the process again.

When It Rains, It Pours. :biggrin_25511:

    Hello Everyone.

I'm long overdue bringing everyone up to speed on my adventure into the world of trucking.

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I would be getting new hearing aids, purchased on my own, using the proceeds from tool and equipment sales. :biggrin_2553: The order was placed this past Friday, and I picked them up yesterday. :biggrin_255: The model instruments I purchased were considerably more advanced than what I had originally been recommended. I am testing them at no cost to me....:biggrin_2556:.....well, you have to pay for them, but they will refund your money and you can get something else if you don't like them.

    Now, everything is freakin' LOUD!!

I heard a strange noise last night while I as watching TV, :biggrin_25524: and then realized it was me......breathing. Gotta love new technology. :biggrin_25525: Telephones are a challenge at the moment but that's just a matter of practice.

I'm scheduled to go back on Tuesday for a "tune-up" where they modify the existing programs.

And to top it all off, when I got back to the house from the doc's office yesterday with my new hearing aids, who is it that calls and leaves a message........Vocational Rehab.......:biggrin_2552: WTF. I see them on Tuesday morning, I'll have to put on my old hearing aids for that trip. :biggrin_25525:

Once this hearing aid exercise is put to bed, I can get back to trucking.

    Thanks for reading.

By the time I'm finished with all this BS, they won't use trucks anymore.....................they'll just use their transporters and beam the stuff from place to place. :biggrin_25523:
