    Thanks buddy. :biggrin_255:

I've got a few loose ends here to take care of before I can commit to a date but at least I'm moving in the right direction.

If you go short on this run let me know. Maybe we can have coffee before I start. :biggrin_25511:

That is great! and YES you could take root but you WON'T!!!

Are you going to try to post thru orientation on your thread or and if you do continue on at USX start a new thread under USX? Like I told you before no complaints, and this actually from personal experience with USX, with the company. Orientation as I said, can be a bear and alot of folks get sent home day 1 or 2 due to wrong or no paper work etc. rules regs etc. So have your T's crossed and I's dotted and ALL your paper work!! (USX was very understanding when the ex could not get to orientation due to the weather. The hardest part was getting a live person on the phone to return a call from Chattanooga ( that was actual prior to him even getting to orientation). Once the ex got thru orientation he came home and waited for a driver trainer. Again due to weather things got behind. As I said it turned out he got a salty old hand with like 30 to 35 years experience that was glad to have newbies!! It was ( I think) 160 hours training. I hear that they are now going back to 10-13 speeds from automatics (his was a 760? Volvo nice and roomy auto)

If you ever to ROCHESTER you better look me up or PM me!! I am good for my offer of dinner or a night out or a cup of coffee!! Rochester is so off the beaten path and I can't wait to meet someone new from TTR!!

    SO glad for you Wedge!!!:biggrin_25514:

    Thanks Sammycat. :biggrin_25514:

I'll keep this thread going until my company training is complete and I upgrade to solo driver. Then, I'll start a new USX thread to document.
    my time with them.

Visiting you in Rochester is definitely on my "to do" list. I'll get there sooner or later, but yep, coffee, or lunch, or dinner, sounds good to me.

I'll keep you filled in and up to date. :biggrin_25525:

    Hello Everyone. :biggrin_25511:

I received a follow-up call from U.S. Xpress yesterday morning (totally unexpected, but nice touch). Anyway, I'm scheduled for orientation in Tunnel Hill, GA on Wednesday, the 15th of June.

I was able to pick which start date would work best for me. So far everyone has treated me very nicely. I'm impressed with these folks, as kindness and courtesy score big points with me. :biggrin_25519:

If anyone else is headed to Tunnel Hill, GA on the 15th for orientation, feel free to chime in.

    That's it for now.

    Thanks for reading.

So, now that you have a date, how are you feeling about orientation? Does the time since school worry you at all as far as having forgotten things?

(Just curiousity here, I was nervous I would forget everything in the almost 2 weeks between when I finished school and when I finally got on the truck with my bf - I didn't of course, was just nerves)
