If they required a CDL up front--then why would they have a webpage like this:

They hire total beginners--and have been doing so for quite some time.
With them--you won't be a "guinea pig" while they work out any kinks in their driver training program.
Also--they have no "dock-to-driver" program.
There is no "dock-to-driver" program......with tanker duty!
You must be looking at someone else's website....and/or brochure.

Stevens finally got back to me and said they need more time between my last criminal charge (2014) and hiring date. It’s looking like I’m gonna have a real hard time finding anywhere without a ten year gap between the history and hire date. -
Not all companies require a 10 yr. gap for criminal charge or incarceration.
This one doesn't have a cdl school though.

- No DUI convictions in last 2 years
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 6-month period
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 12-month period
- No more than 3 moving violations in 3-year period

What are the general qualifications?
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You must pass a DMV/D.O.T. (Dept. of Transportation) physical and a pre-employment drug screen.
- You must have a good driving record and have been licensed in the United States for a minimum of 18 months out of the last three years.
- All criminal convictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and reviewed by management.
