I feel your pain, but it ain't an American against Canada thing, it's just the way people are educated in the US. Pretty much everyone you meet can recite the Declaration of Independance backwards but can't tell you the name of the next town or how far it is away from them. And that's not a slam on anyone, it's just the way it is.

I was raised in Alaska in the territorial days and have spent most of my working life there and in Northern Canada and I am sad to say that the average American probably knows more about Canada than they do about Alaska. Point well taken JayTee.

Darn you Frenchy, Do you really think we need you to protect us in war ! Next time i get up that way im agonna drag you outa your Igloo and give you such a white washing to remind you Saskatoon Saskatchewan Indians who butters your bread. And remember your just the blood line from English that we ran out of here some time ago who couldn't face going back to England as losers.
Now next time you cross the border -you better come packin or we are going to exile you back into the Canadian cold again where you will never lay eyes on temperatures in the 90's and bikini clad girls at the beach again. Just funnin ya eh!:smt043

    This is just getting silly.
Canada is a great country and you guys are really doing her a disservice by running down our southern neighbors by pointing out their country's faults (real, or imagined) instead of pointing out Canada's many strengths.

And concluding that Americans are arrogant because some random tourist didn't know where Saskatoon was, is a pretty arrogant assumption.

Thanks Bob - that's what I was attempting to say.

I've lived the last half of my life in AZ with daily contact and regular visits back to Canada for business. I could argue both sides of this ridiculous argument, but it's a waste of time. Lots of pros and cons to each. Not much point in throwing rocks at each other.

No problem. I'll join you in a tumbler of crown on the rocks.

Hey, what do you pay for a handle of the stuff. Last i looked up there it was like $70 bucks or something?

Exactly... why throw rocks when we can just burn down a Tim Hortons.

Fankly, I can't tell much difference as long as I'm in the English speaking parts (ie. not Quebec). I've even talked with other Canadians that hate going to Quebec.
