True. As a generalization, I'd say that Canadians feel about Quebec, as Americans feel about New York.

Quebec is fine. Just ask politely to speak in English and you'll usually find that there is someone in the office that can help you.

Quebec's politics is another matter entirely.

I won't comment on the politics, as it would get me in trouble. I do think it is Quebec's politics and not the people that has fostered such a strong dislike from the rest of Canada, particularly Manitoba, Sask, Alberta, BC

One of my most memorable loading experiences, because of how well I was treated, was in Quebec.

It was near Sorel QC which is a very Francophone area. I asked to speak to someone in English and a young lady picked up the phone and gave me directions. The guy that loaded me knew the same two words in English that I knew in French.

    Pallet and forklift.

The owner of the company arranged for me to scale at a local ready mix plant, escorted me there and PAID for it.

I tarpped the load and had lunch at a place that had eggs in every item in the menu. My kind of place!

Dustinbrock...I was living on a reservation in Northern Alberta when I was a kid. Worked for Indian Affairs. Well two teachers from New Zealand came up to teach for a year. They were very shocked to find that we did not live in igloos, we did not eat whale blubber, (700 miles from the nearest salt water?!) We drive cars and pick up trucks (when the roads were passable) We even had some amenities like record players and movies once a month. The Americans have no monopoly on ignorance. That's up to the individual.

Whoa whoa Bergy!! Canada butters it's own bread! I'll admit that the US jams it up a bit though. I am Canadian and #### proud of it. I never would want to be otherwise. Still, I've lived in Wyoming, and Washington state and truly I love the United States. If I was young enough I would fight for either country. After all, the United States gave me my wife. I've found that Americans put their pants on one leg at a time, and they squat to ****, just like Canadians do.
The only difference between Canadians and American is cultural, neither one being better than the other. Oh There is one...Everybody knows...We Canadians do fart perfume and #### Poseys, whereas you Americans..... LOL Hugs on ya
