Ya know... I try real hard to absorb little tidbits like this. It's so easy to gain information through children who will simply write oh yea we got a .45-.70 that will take Buffalo back home etc. Or a machine gun or whatever.

One set of my grand parents had a basement filled with canned soup and other goods for the entire Cold War Era. When they died and passed on, the entire contents had to be dumped into a roll on roll off bin for disposal into landfilling, some of the cans dating back to post ww1, where they originally had canned horsemeat for pet food using war horses that had been aged out and slaugthered after the war. This would be in 1920 or so.

It was a enormous basement with such a trove of food, but when you consider the risk of a type of bacteria that can thrive and kill you if you tried to open and eat a canned food item from the 50's or whatever. I suppose a post ww3 situation in a howling starshine storm (A form of radiation....) you will eat anything picking a lesser hazard over a more lethal one. I probably would.

However, everyone had something. And did not talk about it in my time.

Getting children to disclose that in a school setting is becoming a pathway for a State interested in knowing what is what among a given area. Maybe Im slipping towards being a nut, but Im a happy nut..... not a crazy one.

Poor kids... they don't know anything. Not yet anyhow.

I've never been arrested, never had drug problems, except occasional use of marijuana in my teens. I don't drink, as well. I've come realize that everyone has bouts of depression, and I don't need medication, I just need to suck it up and pull myself out of it. My depression is more an inward shutdown. I've never been violent towards others, or self harmed or even thought about doing either. I'm fairly functional, but absolutely regret ever listening to advocates to file for disability. A mistake I don't want held against me for the rest of my life, and an issue I'd like to work past and become productive again.

    I hear you.

I would not worry about it. You wrote this post and it should be a shining example of your intent to enjoy life and do whatever it is you like in work.

I ran into a form of control just this year, my doctor started running unnecessary tests and saying I have this or that or something else suddenly. Like a dumb calf I nodded and said sure. I fired that doc. I spent a week in the hospital not long ago under most careful monitoring and evaluation including a variety of test. Some of which have not yet come back. But we are fixing to find out where I am real soon physically.

The thing is similar to your advocates leading you down the path towards dependence is similar to what I think is happening to many in the medical office. They are being told they have something that they might not and need to double check on those diagnoses by specialists to conform or refute such things. The one big result this year was a increase in consumed mediciation which approached 1500 dollars retail per month when calculated on three seperate websites that list pricing at retail for specific drugs, dose and your specific area.

What I don't understand on my end is how the doctors prescribed that crap and piled on more until the total retail value exceeds my entire income by a goodly percentage. Then throw in a few hundred more in medical billing each month to same doctor.

I got that stopped. I made things really simple while I think this through waiting for hard medical results before I proceed.

You have your battle, I have mine. But the lesson I am trying to share with others here is that you cannot be passive and gulp down whatever you are told. That's not living.

@Chinaman can answer this for you. He is the Resident expert Guru here with that knowledge.

Keep in mind we are being migrated to the real ID act as of 2020 in which you will maintain a new enhanced license or be denied domestic flights and access to Federal Buildings and Bases....

Since you no longer take anything for your depression you could take you off them and write like a note that you're better and no longer need medication. That way if you do need to put your disability on the application you can fax your doctors release to the comoany because they'll want proof for there record.
