I don't have a grudge against anybody I just have a problem with people that take advantage of people's ignorance and take their money without providing an equitable service.

I'll gladly take an Icom 7000 over any 10-meter radio.

I agree with pappapump I can run my stock 980 into 5 pill mosfet amp and deadkey 75 swinging 300+ and im pretty sure the sideband on the 980 is more stable than any Galaxy, as far as 10 meter you are going to lose most of it when the radio is converted and you do need a license to go to those frequency, that being said you have made your purchase Galaxy is a good radio and if it is set up properly and you have a good swr you should be very satisfied.

Forget the scope and stuff with Bells' videos, just listen. The audio is always blown out and overmodulated, and when he puts them on the air, the receive is always full of that godawful white noise. That, to me, speaks volumes. My Q5 tuned radios don't have all that white noise in the receive, and they reproduce my voice exactly when transmitting. I don't sound any different over the air than I do in person when talking on them, unless I use my superstar echo mic.

I just went by Q5 yesterday (again)but its always early in the morning, and im on my way to the twin cities, and im trying to avoid Madison traffic plus Im passing through there early because I left Plymouth IN early to get around Chicago before you know what hits the fan. I would really like to stop in there and have them check out the receive on my Bearcat 880, the static is horrible and I want it to be more like my 980.

My radio finally came in.. I love it. I posted a video for my hispanic friends. The best part starts at 2:25. I'll finally start getting some respect on the air now..

Don't get me wrong the 98 is a nice radio if you are into that kind of thing but what do you mean when you saying " i'll finally start getting some respect on the air now..."
