I’m gonna look at Red5’s suggestions first from his LT thread. I will try a mag mount base with a top loaded antenna, maybe a 4’ Everhardt Tiger I have already or a 4 foot skip shooter. That 3 foot mirror antenna is a joke.

    Slowmover1 Thanks this.

I’m gonna say that it’s a demotion going to this International. My brother has a machine shop, we could manufacture it in house.

Hardest thing to find is a heavy duty mount made out of stainless steel. If you have access to a machine shop it might be worth putting some time into designing a mount that's capable of handling a massive amount of weight.

    Slowmover1 and shogun Thank this.

My dad is an antenna kleptomaniac, he has picked up countless antennas off the shoulder of the roads in his almost 50 years trucking. He’s found some keydown competition antennas that were hand made, tuned out awesome, plenty of Predator 10k, Monkey Made’s, skipshooter, browning, you name it.

They all have one thing in common, the mount wasn’t sufficient and the antenna ended up on the shoulder, and now in a big storage bin in his garage.

    Slowmover1 and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

I believe it was either Socrates or Plato who asked “if someone asks for a radio check and no one’s answers, did the transmission even occur?”

Well unless it was a Looney Tune radio or one from Amazon nobody heard it apparently lollllllll

I guess I'm going to have to make a video to shut this moron up, I'll get around to that when I can and when skip allows but to answer another one of his moronic comments I'm extremely busy which is why I don't post in this form or any others I only did it to give props to Bells who gave me great customer service in a world where that no longer exist for the most part in fact if it wasn't for the email notifications I wouldn't even keep up with this thread

That's precisely true. It's kind of ironic that you're the one that said it though.
