    You should try the Hustler HQ27 55” tall antenna. I would think it would work well and it doesn’t stress the mount. I installed the FS27 antenna on this pete and also the truck my boss drives about 4-5 years ago, and they still look about like new. I have hit the tree branches from time to time, and it hasn’t hurt the antenna yet.

    Oh look what popped up today there chops!! Old screwdriver put a Top Gun modulator in a galaxy and then used a tone generator to show that it's still clean as a whistle in the scope with it and his tune !!! What?, and then explained why he used the tone generator instead of just doing his normal audio check check check..... pretty impressive for a guy that doesn't know how to use his equipment according to you.... you better "pay attention? Ol'Son you might learn something.....

    Thats fine but it wouldnt interest me based on what was said in that link..

    Not sayin its good or bad cause i have only seen it mentioned a few times over the years..When i did hear someone useing it,it came off to me as if i had my volume stuck wide open..Didnt appeal to me and it didnt seem to help with range..From the little experience i have with listening to it,it came off as the same as runnin a cpl hundered watt amp when your 30ft away from who your talkin to..

    I hear you and it's not a mod that I would opt for, the point is he knows how to use a tone generator , and a spectrum analyzer and all the equipment he has despite chops rhetoric.... and even with my limited knowledge I can see that the wave in the scope on that video is Crystal Clear with no distortion despite the Top Gun modulator and his tune, I'm sure chops is going to chime in here and tell us how I'm all wrong and Looney Tune is better but none the less I thought I would post it...

    Yeah well im more limited than you on the spec analyzer n so on..So many different opinions on whats good or better or bad..
    So much mis info out here its hard to know what correct vs disguised bs..
