    SEE! we got DUNNING KRUGER!
MY system is not dictated by Mike. Stay focused. It's hard I know! Those Dunning-Krugers are hard to avoid.
Can you discuss ANYTHING without Mike? Secret crush on the bloke?

-115dBm is a really pretty ####ty noise floor mate. Best get it checked out.
    BUT HOW WAS IT MEASURED?
Will you answer or just dodge?

    You certainly do deliver mate.
Rational conversations don't start with me being too stupid to know I am stupid.
Now will you answer or just keep on taking the piss?

Your math is awful. I have no idea how you arrived at -115dbm.
.0399uv translates to -135dbm per the chart here assuming it's into a 50 ohm load.
dBm to MicroVolts Conversion Chart (for 50 ohm systems)

    Drunk, but yes it's -135.2
Now, How did you arrive at this conclusion that this is your "noise floor"?
What is your measuring method? Be precise like you were by getting a chart where I did the maths!

    Nice grammar.
100% modulation at .0399uv injected into the so239. Happy? It's well documented.

    Let's make this go faster...
I need these values..... because maths require them.
    1. What range of audio frequencies did you receive? As an example 100-2500Hz
    2. What was the ambient temperature of the area the radio was at the time?
    3. What exactly was this 100% depth signal? Was it a tone? If so, what frequency?
    4. What was the SnR/SINAD, etc of this signal at -135.2dBm?

I have no idea what you guys are talking about with all this radio nerd stuff but by all means have fun!!!.. but you obviously know chops is just going to keep insulting you because that's all he's got right?..... I quoted Socrates a few pages back saying ~ when the debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the losers~.... well since chops is at it again I can now quote King Solomon ~ as the dog returns to his vomit so does a fool to his folly~

I'll grab a bag of popcorn now

I am used to these chaps insulting me.
Most of the time the insults that yanks wield confuse us brits as I am sure the insults that we use confuse you yanks. He can do it but 9 out of 10 times I fail to understand the humour.

As to my enquiries it may become clear once I get the values and start writing out the necessary equations. That means we do some maths.

    JesusFreak316 Thanks this.

If you're having difficulty since this isn't your forte, this might help you. It's virtually indistinguishable from a Kenwood TS-930S or a Yaesu FT-901DM.

That's obvious. It's not even worth discussing.
