I totally agree. The funny thing is that we disagree about the definition of a tune in my definition produces no interference on adjacent channels and your definition produces interference on adjacent channels.

More likely a $2 tune for thirty bucks.
I'd rather get a $500 tune for a hundred bucks

It wouldn't take much. Anybody with a rudimentary knowledge of how to use a scope could easily follow a service manual and turn a couple screws and automatically be in the top 10% from coast to coast.

I was at a truck stop yesterday in Sauk Centre MN and they had the President Lincoln II for sale for $249.99 , and Im thinking, you usually dont see 10 meter/ export radios for sale in truck stops and its probably been in their case for quite some time, well went in this morning to grab breakfast ( protein shake) and much to my amazement it was gone, someone apparently bought it, hope they were knowledgeable enough to realize it has to be converted for 11 meter, if not going to be pretty frustrated when they power it up and dont get a response on their radio check.

Looked like a real nice radio, I was tempted, but I really dont need another radio, now if they had the President Richard ( 50 watts otb) that might of been a different story.

$249 is what Bells sells them for and $29 to convert and tune it, he gave me this one for a little less than that because the cobra didn't work out the way he thought it would which is all good.....to my surprise there's 30 to 40 local guys in my area (50 mile radius) that all talk on sideband so I got the Lincoln 2 for its side band stability and put the Galaxy 99v2 in my pickup...

Im going to sell my 99v2 and purchase a 86v so I can use it in the T680, right now 99v2 is just collecting dust.
