Throw all of your straps and chains on pipe so it doesn’t kill you. 2 on front. Belly/gut/cinch every level of pipe. Not sure what is complicated. Throw everything you’ve got on there. No such thing as too much securement on something that could end up in your lap.

My guess is your loading out of pacific states / McWayne down in Provo. You will most likely get two bundles of pipe and a pallet of seals and some buckets of lube goop.
The pipe will be pre bundled, with wood and banding.
They will provide all dunnage and set and block load.
Pallet will be center loaded, between bundles, you could get a small wood crate instead of pallet, goes same place.
After they set the load, toss two straps over each bundle, snug and move to tie down area, they will point out where they want you.
generally 5 over the top, pulling alternate sides.
Large pipe, like 12 and bigger, belly first and third layers
Smaller pipe about every three feet.
Good idea to put a half twist in straps to keep from beating pipe.
The pallet, you will most likely need to restack it so you can strap it. Usually do an X strap. If you want to add a cross strap, that is good. Depending on the quantity of lube, usually just toss in a side box. DON’T forget to leave it at delivery.
One thing about ductile. It is coated with some really soft sticky paint, your straps will stick to the pipe, even in cold weather. That paint will come off on the strap too.
When you start to unload, don’t be surprised when the strap will not just pull off. May have to get a stick of some sort to pop it loose.RedRover Thanks this.
