The lane departure beepers you probably could. There should be one on each side.

I think you can also have the dealer adjust the sensitivity??

I would think so. It would be pretty useless to install a system that could be defeated by simply removing a fuse. I have no idea. I don't have any of that hardware on my truck.

I think what he might be referring to, since he said the sensor is between steps and fuel tank is that sensor that lets you know if someone is beside you in your blind spot. If it's doing it when you are coming up to an intersection, and have your turn signal on and it detects an object there, mine does it a lot when there is guard rail beside me, it'll beep a couple times, I just have gotten used to it bc it's not a loud beep, and really don't hear it much anymore, but it only beeps when you have that turn signal on.

I remember the early days of the internet. I was with Compaq when they bought Digital Equipment Corporation and acquired Alta Vista, which was at that time the largest search engine on the internet. I was in Palo Alto with some of the marketing types who were meeting with the Alta Vista people for the first time and they were all jabbering on about how they were going to put banner ads on every search results page. The Alta Vista folks were dead set against it. They said all that will do is train the users not to look at that part of the page.

What good does it do to have an alarm going off in the cab if drivers can just tune it out and not hear it anymore?

    Speed_Drums Thanks this.

Yup....and that is exactly why Google, Facebook, and Twitter are not profitable today! Lololol! Sounds like Alta Vista kinda' missed the boat huh?

Problem was Alta Vista was not born as a stand alone venture. When some part of a large corporation hits big every senior executive has to horn in somehow. Alta Vista was due to be spun off twice before Compaq bought Digital and both times it fell through. Compaq didn't do any better. Compaq did spin it off but put a team of Compaq execs in charge. They didn't make it.
