So, I understand BW runs East Coast to Northwest. Have you calculated what you make per mile? I understand you are paided a percent of load. How do you know what the load pays?

    Bamaslamma Thanks this.

Here is my opinion on the pay at BW, I knew going into this company that they paied by the load, its pretty streight forward. as a new driver you take home 1500 to 2000 per month ( depends on loads and how you run) It does not sound like mutch, but remember this is with no experience and at 10% in 3 months you move up to 11%, for an experienced driver thats training I can see 4500 plus. I say it like that becuase I look at the botttom line, you can pay me 1.00 per mile but that would not do any good if you give me 300 miles a week, I like the % pay becuase you know what you are getting on average. At BW you do not do any short loads ( unless you get one of the few regional potitions) you can expect to goto the west coast and back most every trip.

Do they keep you moving? yes you will not stop unless you want to , they let you as a driver and co driver decide how you want to run, run out west come back, drop the trailer in the yard, pick up new trailer and head out after they service your truck ( every truck gets service once a week in eufalla AL) or you can take a day or two off then go back out, some run fro the whole month or 6 weeks then take time off.

As far as how do you know you are getting your fair take on the load, its printed on the invioce, I know they can put anything on it lol, you just have to trust them, they are straight forward and fair.

In my opinion its a great place to work and make money, but it is team driving (you have to get used to sleeping in a moving truck),you will always be moving, it is a referigerated company ( haul referigerated good) you dont load or unload anything.

Thank You Nite Vision for the information. I ahve talked to the lady at BW about their company and am really thinking hard about going back on the road at driving for BW.
Are you guys running into California? I had heard maybe the Northwest only. Are you guys in one of the Lonestar trucks?

Does BW have your truck at 62 mph? I had heard some were from 59 to 65.

How do you and your co-driver run? Do yall run a shift say like 12 to 12 or do you change when our 10 break is up? Do ya'll run your hours out and do a 34 restart before you return from the west?

I was also wonderning if you are having to wait for a load from the West coast or is there one waiting?

Thank you in advance for your information, I am really interested in working forBW, just trying to get a drivers insite about how they are as a company and can I make money with them.

We drive to get to where we are going lol, I like to drive my 10 or even 11 hours, then switch, the loads back right now is hit and miss, you might get one right away or have to wait, not long though, they relay want to keep you moving. I am told the spring growing season is starting and loads will be faster on the turn.as far as the reset, we try to get our reset back in Alabama.

Nite Vision, how many loads are you doing a week? Also, what is the average freight charge for a load that you are getting paided on? Are you guys doing multi-stops on any of the loads?
